Vague routine related post.

It's surprising how routine can set us up for tasks ahead.

I had a routine for when I would try and write, or at least think of an idea for my next post, when I would write the next part of my MS.  Unfortunately, circumstances have meant that my routine has been turned on it's head, and now I'm finding it a bit difficult to find a new one.

Luckily, I had already mapped out the scenes for the Panto, so I'm still able to do a little bit on that, but where as before, when I sat down to write, I knew that this was writing time, and it just seemed to flow out of me.  Now, I find that even when I am sitting down to write, that other things are competing for my attention, and inspiration for blog posts are not appearing.

Looks like I need to get a new routine in place as soon as I can.

(I've just found out something that amused me.  The spell checker in Blogger doesn't recognise the word blog)

  1. Interesting, I just typed in the word blog and it's working fine on my end. Are you using Firefox, cuz it also has a separate spellchecker!

As for blog posting, I take it one week at a time from now on. I tried posting more than once a week and it didn't work for me. Now, I write my post throughout the week and then schedule it for Friday release. It's so wonderful cuz I don't have to think about blogging all weekend until Monday when the cycle starts over again.

  2. I rarely have inspiration for blog posts, thus my lack-luster random blog. But I think you're brilliant (like my use of an English term?) Anyhow, I am in need of a new routine so if you find yourself a new one, share!

  4. I'm constantly updating my routine. Life throws kinks in the way, and I'm often inflexible. I need to do more writer yoga! :)

  5. My routines always get disrupted. I just write a post whenever an idea strikes me, then schedule it for later. :)

  6. You just do what you can, when you can. Nobody can ask for more than that.

  7. It's amazing how the more you write, the more you're inspired to write, and the more you blog, the more you're inspired to blog.

Now, if it only worked that the more time you're inspired to have, the more time you'll actually have. Think of all the writing and blogging that would happen then!
